About Rosa
Hi, I’m Rosa
A pink cart, a real espresso machine, and a Chandler community I love.
My story starts in a corporate world pretty far from coffee — I spent years in IT at Wells Fargo, coordinating network infrastructure for branches and advisors. It was good work, but it wasn’t my passion.
In 2020, right in the middle of COVID, my husband gifted me an espresso machine and everything changed. What started as making lattes for the two of us quickly turned into making drinks for friends and family. I didn’t love the taste of store-bought syrups, so I started making my own using simple, real ingredients. The more I practiced, the better I got — and honestly, I just loved any excuse to share my coffee with people. There was something about the way it brought people together that lit me up inside.
I eventually found a commercial espresso machine at an estate sale, which took my practice to another level. And in May 2023, I wanted to make sure everything I had taught myself was solid, so I enrolled in an SCA Barista Skills course and became a certified specialty barista.
By June 2023 I officially registered Pink Burbon Coffee as an LLC. I started looking for a brick-and-mortar location but pivoted to a mobile cart — a stepping stone toward the bigger dream. After a year of building and planning, I had my first official event at the Chandler Innovation Fair on February 22, 2025. It was overwhelming, emotional, exhausting, and absolutely everything I hoped it would be. There was a line the whole time and I loved every second of it.
Today, Pink Burbon operates weekly Friday pop-ups out of our garage to build community right where we live. We also sell canned lattes, do wholesale with small businesses, bulk orders for events, and host private and community events — think teacher appreciation weeks, grand openings, birthdays, and collaborations like our Pilates & Coffee events. My husband and I also run MANE Renovations together, where I handle the admin side — it’s what keeps us grounded while Pink Burbon continues to grow.
The bigger vision is a coffee shop — a real space where community is the centerpiece. A place to host events, share good coffee, and create something lasting. My ultimate why? I’m building this for my kids. I want them to grow up watching what’s possible, learn how to run a business, and hopefully carry it forward one day themselves.
